Penngrove Social Firemen was started in 1946 by volunteers of the Penngrove Fire Department, hence the name.
While the Social Firemen no longer have strong ties to the fire department, they have grown with the community into an organization numbering almost 150 members. Members include carpenters, contractors, artists, attorneys, mechanics, truckers, ranchers, and painters, among many other professions. The primary focus of the Social Firemen is support of the community.

Friday, August 28 at dusk 7:30 pm – arrival 8:30 pm - movie Penngrove Park, 11800 Main St., Penngrove CA Presented by Penngrove Social Firemen Admission is free, but donations are accepted and will go toward the new playground fund. Concession stand with hot dogs, candy, popcorn, and drinks. Blankets and low lawn chairs preferred. |
